1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Reco platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.

2. Description of Service

Reco is a referral marketing platform that enables service providers to create referral incentive programs and clients to share those services with friends.

The platform includes:

• Referral tracking and management
• Dual verification of referrals
• Rewards and incentive management
• Messaging between providers and clients
• Analytics and reporting tools

3. Accounts and Registration

When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
• Be at least 18 years old
• Not create an account on behalf of another person without their consent

4. Billing and Payment

Service providers pay for platform access as follows:

• A monthly seat fee for platform access
• A per-referral fee of $2.50 for each verified referral (one free per seat per month)
• Payment details are collected during signup via Stripe
• Free trial periods are available — your card will not be charged until the trial ends
• Annual billing is available at a discounted rate

You may cancel at any time. No further charges will apply after cancellation.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Submit fraudulent referrals or manipulate the verification system
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Interfere with the operation of the Service
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without permission
• Use the Service to send unsolicited communications

6. Referral Verification

Referrals are verified through a dual verification process:

• Both the referrer and the referred person must confirm using a unique 6-digit code sent via email or SMS
• Referral fees are only charged upon successful verification
• Reco reserves the right to flag or reject referrals suspected of fraud

7. Intellectual Property

The Reco platform, including its design, code, features, and content, is the intellectual property of Reco and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

Content you upload to the platform (such as business descriptions and incentive details) remains yours, but you grant Reco a non-exclusive licence to display it as part of the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Reco shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to Reco in the 12 months preceding the claim
• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind

9. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time:

• You may cancel your account from your account settings
• Reco may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately
• Your data will be retained for 30 days after account deletion, after which it will be permanently removed

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.
